Cytopathology
- FNAC (guided/non guided) is a diagnostic procedure used to investigate lumps or massed under the skin.
- Examination of fluids – Pleural fluid, Ascitic fluid, Urine for malignant cells, CSF , post- operative peritoneal wash, broncheoalveolar lavage, gastric lavage, bile, abscess aspiration.
- Brush Cytology from – oral cavity, oesophagus, Common bile duct, urethral brush
- Gynae Pap smears (conventional ) to be dispatched in absolute alcohol.
- During FNAC, in case of aspiration of pus, further investigations for Kochs like Culture studies and Gene Xpert will be undertaken by out sourcing the sample to a reliable laboratory
- Examination for TB,bacteria, fungus organisms causing infections.
- Review ( second opinion ) of any cytopathology slides
PathLab Services
- Routine blood tests including Complete Blood count (CBC) ,blood group.
- Thyroid function tests (TFT), liver function test (LFT), kidney function tests (KFT), lipid profile,
- Random sugar test,
- Serology test - Dengue NS1, Malaria antigen, Typhidot, widal etc
- Clinical pathology including Semen analysis.

She is Involved in the Laboratory accreditation for National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL) and is a Certified NABL signatory .
She is a Technical expert in Cytology, bone marrow trephine aspiration and biopsy procedures and reporting. She is Exceptionally methodical, organized and analytical with problem solving capabilities
Her work experience includes
- Worked as SR in PGI, Rohtak, Haryana
- Worked as Senior Resident at Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi from 2009-2012.
- She was associated with various top diagnostic NABL chains in New delhi like Dr. Doda diagnostics, Star Imaging and PathLab,
Special interests
Preparing the Laboratory for NABL in the fields of clinical pathology, haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and cytology so as to achieve the standards as per ISO 15189: 2012. To acheive the standards of testing as per ISO 15189:2012 so as to prevent reporting errors.
